Our team created a new, single-story, 17,000-square-foot medical clinic adjacent to Newport Hospital in this rural community. Work included the removal of an existing residential building and site improvements including development of patient and staff parking and delivery access. Overriding project goals included patient-centered care, efficient staff, collaborative team-based care, and built-in flexibility. The building's exterior is designed to fit comfortably within the residential neighborhood and provide a warm, inviting presence for users of the building. Daylighting is plentiful in this attractive community asset that belies its cost-effective budget. Exterior materials were selected for their durability, sustainability, and low maintenance requirements. Program spaces include exam rooms, treatment rooms, provider offices, a classroom, and workstations for providers, coordinators, social workers, and behavioral health.
