THE TERRACES

AT SAN JOAQUIN GARDENS - SNF

Fresno, California

The skilled nursing facility’s design is leading the evolution of alternative healthcare buildings in California. The resident rooms are arranged in three separate households with common areas. Even with limited mobility, residents can easily access meaningful activities located steps outside their doors.

The three households feature 15 units with 18 beds per household (three semi-private units with two beds and 12 private units with one bed). Each household features a resident kitchen, dining room, and living area, all with access to the outdoors. Nursing service and ancillary support are located away from the resident experience.

Resident units feature bathrooms designed for maximum independence, a wireless charting/tablet sync center, media wall, built-in personal storage, and wheelchair storage. The facility provides efficient care delivery within a warm and familiar residential space.
